On the Road to Reia

Leslie and I are currently on our way to meet the new princess in town, Reia Celine. We've seen the pictures and now look forward to meeting her in person. I guess her parents are OK, too, as is her big sis! We'll be in touch.

Last Thursday I, with the help and support of my awesome wife, finished thirteen months of work towards my national board certification for teachers. This is me outside of the post office where I sent it in.

A Yurtastic Adventure

This weekend Leslie and I went with some very fun friends to a yurt in the backwoods of southern Colorado. A yurt is a semi permenant shelter complete with wood-burning stove, bunks with matresses and pillows, stove, wood floors, and an outhouse. We snow-shoed an excrutiating 4.25 miles with our unconditioned bodies and arrived Friday evening. We had an awesome time eating steaks and fajitas and cherry cheesecake and the like. It was so cool!
