Getting Ready for a week in Colorado with the Cook Clan

We are packing right now for a week trip with the Cook Fam. Ma and Pa Cook are already up in Colorado with the pop-up trailer ready for all of us to join them tomorrow. We are looking forward to relaxing at the camp grounds, family bonding, fishing, playing games, reading books, and just chilling in the beautiful outdoors.
Andy and I just saw another house today that tickled our fancy. We are offering on it tonight, so we'll keep you posted. It is different from all the others we have offered on, in it's simplicity that is, and price (in the $150,000s- significantly lower!!!)....and would be a nice home that we feel we could be happy in. We'll just have to wait and see.....

Memorial Day Weekend

This last weekend Andy and I went to Family Camp with my parents and families from Grace church. It was so much fun. It was packed with great conversations, fellowship with old friends, games, a great speaker, spiritual growth, magic, juggling, and the greatest BBQ in the world. Check out the pictures to the right.
As far as the house hunting goes, we are still very much in it. Our last offer was slighted by a higher one. Still looking forward to seeing what God has in store for us. Goodbye offer #6, waiting to find the house for offer #7. God is Good!

To da ballgame

In celebration of the end of the school year, the fams all got together for a little baseball action (if that's not considered an oxymorone). It was fun to be there altogether; it was even more fun playing with our cute nieces and nephews. The rain and cold, although memorable, probably not as fun. I can't wait to hang out with the whole clan next week on our camping trip!

Family class

Well, another year has gone by in the high school teaching profession. Some of my students are welcome to come back and visit never, while others have left their mark on my heart forever. My 4th period Spanish III class was one of the coolest, most rewarding classes I've ever taught. If you don't think smaller class size is an important issue in the teaching realm, you have never shared an entire year with a class of 8 students. You will never find a closer-knit, more motivated group of teenagers than what I found in this small group over the past nine months. They will forever have a place in my heart, and I will always remember how watching them grow and form friendships as I glance at the plaque one of them made me. *tear*

Closing out the School Year!!

Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I have written a blog, but now I'm back and really hope to be keeping up for the summer. Check out the pictures on the right. We finally put our pics from visiting Erin, Nino, Marissa, and Reia on. There are also pictures of Matt's graduation and State Track meet. These last few weeks have been Matt Central, and I have loved every bit of it. My brother Matt is such a great guy. I love him so much. This morning I was able to hear him give a motivation talk to the eighth graders at his old middle school. He did a great job. Matt is very gifted in influencing and motivating. He has a way with thoughts and words that are very powerful. I look forward to seeing how God used his gifts in the future.
Anyway, we just have three more days until summer break. I finished packing up my room to move tomorrow and Andy just has to give a few more finals. We offered on a house yesterday and hope to hear back tonight if it was accepted. This will be our fifth attempt to buy one. We are praying for God's will to be done. Well, we'll let you know what we hear when we find out.
